Our Venue

Cranleigh Arts Centre exterior

As a society that strives to achieve a high standard of presentation for its monthly lectures, we are very fortunate to have the use of the Jack Wagg Hall at the Arts Centre in Cranleigh.  This state-of-the-art facility, with its comfortable raked seating, hi-tech sound and lighting systems and large projection screen, provides the perfect setting and ambience for our meetings.

The Arts Centre is located at the east end of the High Street, in a building that served as the village school from 1847 until 1966.  Thanks to a generous Arts Council grant of more than £1,000,000 in lottery money, this fine old building was given an extensive make-over, which was centred around the construction of the splendid new auditorium.  Other facilities include a coffee bar and art gallery.
