We discovered why gardening can rank as fine art. A former director of Oxford University’s Botanic Garden, our speaker says ‘Gardens are places where science and art meet on equal terms’.

A welcome return of our speaker to describe a journey round glorious stations in the UK and abroad, some immortalised in art.

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. We learned more about the subtlety of his music from our celebrated speaker.

Zoom lecture - Modern British Sculpture
Anna showed us why British Sculptors during the 20th Century pioneered sculpture throughout the world.

Zoom lecture - "New Dawn" in the Houses of Parliament
Mary is a local artist and she gave a moving account of how she worked on a National Project, to create the first piece of conceptual art to be installed in the Palace of Westminster.

The network of British canals and the lives and traditions associated with them.
This marked our return to live presentations at the Cranleigh Arts Centre.

There is rich evidence going back 7,000 years of wine being around as witnessed in art, vessels, buildings and literature.

David Roberts was one of the most celebrated artists in Victorian England who saw and recorded today's classical monuments in the state they had been left for many centuries. They are quite amazing.

This museum in Greenwich is the only one dedicated to fans. They start early in 11thC. There are rarities both from UK and abroad. Fans have a language and significance.
